Pa. adjusts work times to protect state government workers from COVID-19 in county assistance offices

Workers who are responsible for processing claims for food stamps and medical assistance are now working on morning and evening shifts to handle the onslaught of claims their offices have been receiving during the coronavirus pandemic.
This is the latest adjustment to the work schedule for state Department of Human Services employees in county assistance offices made as a result of negotiations between the Wolf Administration and the Service Employees International Union Local 668 to protect workers from COVID-19.
